I am a semi-retired pastor having served the local church for over 35 years.  God’s direction upon my life enabled my wife and I to serve in six ministry contexts in uniquely different parts of the country and gain a valuable breadth of perspective. I’ve seen the church at its alluring best, but I’ve also witnessed her unsightly humanity. I still believe deeply in her and share these thoughts and observations in hopes they’ll prove beneficial to others seeking to help her realize her possibilities.
